Half Past Four Design

Welcome! I'm Monica the owner of Half Past Four Design. I'm so glad you stopped by.

HalfPast Four Design began years ago when I redesigned an oak computer desk into a coffee bar.  I was inspired by a photo of a vanity I found on Pinterest, and with a little help from Google and YouTube, my obsession with re-imagining furniture began with that transformation.

I love turning old, under-appreciated furniture into something that deserves to be loved again. All of my pieces are recreated and painted by hand, devoting attention to detail. I also love to do hand embroidery and paint on denim. 

 

My “studio” is my home in LeRoy, Illinois and my “shop” is online. You can see any piece by contacting me and we will set a time. Local pickup is welcome, delivery and shipping are also available for an additional fee.

 

The name Half Past Four Design comes from the time I leave my day job (4:30) and head home to paint. I thank you for joining me on this journey and I welcome all comments and inquiries.
