Made by the Valley Furniture Company in St. Louis, MO. The company was founded in 1922 and closed in 1964. This vanity was made during an era of true craftsmanship.
This antique vanity was stripped and sanded down to showcase the natural wood. A white wax was applied to highlight the grain in the different wood types, and added floral designs in white softly contrast. The top of the vanity is painted in a soft off-white with added floral designs in natural, and everything is sealed for protection in a matte finish.
Cottage style and rustic are both great words to describe this piece. Full of romance and charm it has all original hardware and wooden casters. This is an antique piece and is not a perfect factory finish. You will never find something like this from a modern day furniture store.
Measurements to the nearest half inch: 47.5” wide x 18.5” deep x 29” tall to the top two small shelves. The mirror adds another 34” of height.
There is a matching chest of drawers in a separate listing. Special pricing is available if both purchased together. I have created a separate listing for the pair.
